Re: Flexray

Hello friend ZAP !!!! I would like to know more about this interesting topic. Do you have more information about this measurement? Hey Jorge, Unfortunately, I don't have anything new to report. I did buy a set of cheap attenuated test probes, ( https://www.ebay.com/p/2229729394 ) but I haven't had ...

Flexray

So, I had a 17 Audi Q7 come in today with communication codes. I attempted to scope the network lines, and this is what I got: flexray.png The picture above is with the sampling rate maxed out at 5Ms. I tried switching to a single channel and cranking it up to 12.5Ms. Below is what I got: max sampli...

Attenuators?

Over the weekend, I was attempting to check primary ignition voltage on a 2002 Porsche 996 with the 3.6L engine. I was surprised that the level-over-range warning was going off with the vehicle idling. Apparently this vehicle has very high voltage on the primary side. Does Autoscope sell attenuators...

Re: Secondary ignition on vehicles with individual coils

Oh, okay. Thank you for the education! When checking secondary ignition, I try to (when possible) load the engine by power braking. (putting the vehicle in gear and applying the throttle while holding the brakes) Is there a tool or fixture that could be used to hold the Lx-M against the ignition coi...

CSS graph goes off top and bottom of screen

I've had this issue a few times, where the graph in the CSS script will go way off the top and/or bottom of the screen.

Has anyone else run into this? Is there a way to zoom out further?

Secondary ignition on vehicles with individual coils

Most of the vehicles I work on have individual ignition coils. I'll usually start by hooking the red Cx leads up to cylinders 1-3, then switching the last clamp between cylinders 3 and 4. This isn't the end of the world, but it would be nice to be able to watch all 4 cylinders at the same time. Is t...

Re: Zeroing the CTi-M

When LED blinks, it means that clamps can not calibrate.
Do you mean the white LEDs inside the jaws? I've never noticed them blinking before.
