Zeroing the CTi-M

Post by zap » Sat Nov 10, 2018 12:36 am

I just received my CTi-M a few weeks ago. I haven't had many opportunities to use it yet, but I've gotten some good waveforms so far.

The only problem I've had is that when zeroing with the button on the CTi-M, it's still reading ~.1a on the screen. That's with the CTi-M in open air, not on a wire, and happens every time the button is pressed. Is there anything I can adjust on the CTi-m, or in the software to get that reading closer to zero?

Yes, you can adjust the CTi-M by yourself.
To do this, push apart the wire and remove the upper jaw.
Accurately adjust the required accuracy with a trimmer resistor, time to time pressing zeroing button and observing zero line on the screen.

Hola colegas!!!

Hello,

Can you tell me what analyzer panel do you need?
I don't understand this question.
These two settings (-20A... +50A (100mV/A) and -4A.... +10A (500mV/A)) are used for previous model of CTi current clamps.
Now you should select CTi-M current clamps.
La medicion se realiza seleccionando 30x1 o 6x1????
You should select 30x1 mode.
When LED blinks, it means that clamps can not calibrate. Maybe there is any current flowing through a wire inside the jaws.
You should calibrate current clamps without any wires inside the jaws.

Do you mean the white LEDs inside the jaws? I've never noticed them blinking before.

Yes, two white LEDs inside the jaws.
