Over the weekend, I was attempting to check primary ignition voltage on a 2002 Porsche 996 with the 3.6L engine. I was surprised that the level-over-range warning was going off with the vehicle idling. Apparently this vehicle has very high voltage on the primary side.
Does Autoscope sell attenuators with the XLR connectors built in? I know I could get attenuators from Pico and make adapters to attach to the BNC connectors, but it would be nice to have some that just plug right into the Autoscope leads.
Attenuators?
Re: Attenuators?
Hello,
Yes, level-over-range warning is off in Ignition_Primary mode.
Because ignition primary voltage can reach as high as 400V,
and buzzer warning will be annoying during all measurement time.
We don't have attenuators with the XLR connectors. Alternatively, we can offer you to use PIN3-BNC adapter, 10:1 attenuator and BNC test leads.
In this case you should select 60 V x10 measuring range in the channel settings.
